This problem must be sorted out. Two young ladies uncovered their breasts for the benefit of the CCTV camera. Was any complaint made by a member of the public? No! If they had been on the beach wearing only a miniscule g-string no action would have been taken. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 states that " A person commits an offence if he (does this apply to she?) intentionally exposes his genitals and intends that someone will see them and be caused alarm and distress."
I really don't know what our police are up to. An officer replied to this subject in Answer Bank months ago and he admitted they just don't know how to react sometimes. The public deserve to know what they can and cannot do in this matter. I hope somebody or some authority takes this matter in hand.

Haven't you answered your own question here? Breasts are not genitals, which are defined in males as the penis and scrotum, in females as the clitoris and vulva. The problem is with the Benny Hill/Carry On/Page 3 titillation which makes it uncomfortable for women to breastfeed in public places.
Hmmm, cant see whats wrong with a woman flashing her breasts.
I dont understand what matter needs taking in hand.
Now if she was doing it in a provocative way and pleasing herself, the maybe i could see your point.
Thats like saying builders who show their bum crack need sorting out also...
hahaha, a complaint made by a member of the public? I bet half of them are kicking themselves that they didn't have a camera handy.

Whilst admittedly it's a juvenile thing for them to do, it's hardly crime of the century is it? And certainly nothing that merits the authorities spending time and money on.

Then why aren't the people who have the power doing something constructive about it? I anticipate that further answers will be in the same vein. Nobody in authority can be drawn out of their shell to face the public on this. Maybe they are waiting for someone else to deal with it. Meanwhile the police get drawn into these matters when they shouldn't be. In my experience the police investigate every trivial thing, take the side of the one complaining, face up to the supposed offender and not dismissing the matter as something irrelevant. Come back Dixon of Dock Green!

It's all ridiculous - what's wrong with flashing boobies. Feeding mothers get away with it.
and so does The Sun, Star and Daily Sport.......
And the lady opposite me on my street...
Sweet teen, you were barred from asking your last question, not because you got your knockers out but because said knockers were hideous. Stop this profanity at once. I am going blind.
I wasnt going to get involved in this but I will anyway. I think people flashing their boobs is seen to some as exactly that flashing and people can be offended. I dont fin it very amusing or very ladylike when I see girls drunk doing it. What do I want to see boobs for. Its not big and its not clever. Do the public really need to know what they can and cannot do? I cant see anyone asking if its ok to show their boobs, surely they should know its not the norm
and netibiza even feeding mothers dont get away with it sometimes. Someone reported a woman in a town near me for feeding baby on a bench in high street and police were called.
Forget - really????
OMG!
What did they say/do and how did you react?
now see that really irritates me 4get.....and apologies for veering from the original question. However I find it really sad and pathetic that the police were called out because a woman was breastfeeding her child in public. Isn't that what breasts are for? The world's truly bonkers!
Well they went on news and everything in uproar and it was shown on a programme about breast feeding last year. But in all honestly people have to understand that there are some people that do feel offended. Doesnt bother me at all but she could have gone into a nearby baby changing vicinity. Also the programme last year showed people reactions when the breast fed in restaurants. But theres breast feeding opening your shirt a bit then theres flopping you boob out on a table where people are eating.
It is BOO but the world is also full of people that will complain about anything.
I always wondered if it was OK too.
I once was breastfeeding (my babies head and my breast were both covered up with a clothtype thing) and someone asked me to feed my baby in the toilets, I replied "Would you fancy eating your food in there?" They soon went away.....
what news story does this question refer to? 4get, I don't find it ladylike but I don't think that's enough reason for being taken to court. Unladylikeness isn't a crime. There are things that annoy me greatly but I wouldn't dream of suggesting they be made illegal. Anyway, here's someone who got their own back (perhaps she was misheard when she said she was taking out her Volvo...)

No I think its a waste of money it going to court I totally agree with that jno but I also dont see why girls think its clever to do it and not wrong to some people that could be offended
