no, no, no, yes. But as I usually keep quiet about it, I suppose that's only inrage.
I haven't followed the links, as reading the Daily Mail just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

1. It's not really being 'scrapped', it's just unaffordable for that place. It does leave a bad taste in my mouth, but 'outrage' is a bit far for me.

2. Absolutely not.

3. I'm sort of pro-European, but I have to say that essentially re-introducing a document which has allready been turned down seems very silly. Again, 'outrage' doesn't suffice.

4. Revolution! Kill! Destroy!
*Correction, I read the link for the first and second ones. I'd pretty much heard of the other two, so I prefer not to read the mail when I don't have to...
I think the people of Horwich should do what they want to do on Remembrance Day, be it properly organised or not.
Would it be alright if I didn't read the links but just went with a knee jerk reaction and blame the immigrants coming over here and taking our jobs and houses then bombing us while I stand here wringing my hands as it would save time? Ta.

Tick tock, tick tock ;0)
No. I'm not sure that we should be having organised "remembrances", though if this event is wanted by the locals I would expect similar parsimony to be applied to all local events and councillors' "fact finding" trips.

No. Assuming that they are working, and at (at least) the minimum wage.

No. Not really "up" on European affairs, and it seems that the politicians will just do whatever the hell they want to do anyway.

Yes. They want to encourage people to travel by train by putting up the (already high) prices - how does that work?

Wallace?
What a great idea gromit, here are 3 more from the top selling newspaper that seeks out, and tells what is actually going on in this country. Many will try to shut it up but they are fighting a losing battle. Long Live The Daily Mail.

China Doll

Re: blaming the immigrants, have a look at the thread titled 'Flood Victims'.

Someone has managed to reference illegal immigrants on that thread.

Now...as a game...try to work out how you get illegal immigrants into the story, then check MrBen5's entry at 16:59.

I am literally in awe.
To all those who think that Remberance day should be consigned to the past, I would say what a mean and ungrateful attitude.
With attidudes like that around it's no wonder the teenagers have turned our war memorial into a skateboard park.
gosh yes, sp1814, that is very impressive, isn't it? I bet if they analyse some of this rain they'll find it's actually Bulgarian and only came down from the sky in order to flood the dole office.
jno

Yep...and no doubt the Bulgarian rain is falling more cheaply than the good old British rain, which is causing mass unemployment amongst....

<ad lib to fade>
...and it gets priority to flow down the drains, occupying culverts and storm drains that were built for decent, English [sic] rain..... etc. etc. etc.
It's a slightly different colour rain and the drops all flow in a different way too, there's something almost sinister about it.

Splat,

I just.... I mean.... How?... Why?... I'm actually speechless.

Maybe it's a very subtle tongue in cheek comment? I hope.
