Bathers are at risk of getting ill when they visit any one of 100 beaches around Britain according to new research. One in seven swimmers is likely to cause themselves damage because of the chemicals being dumped in the water. At the moment, 130 beaches fail to meet standards of water cleanliness recommended by the European Union. Does this reflect your experiences of British beaches? Should the government do more to clean them up?
