I`ve just seen the clip on the news about the bloke who tried to jump on the back of his popewagon

It reminded me of my childhood when we used to hang on the back of Tonibells` ice-cream van

D`ya think the bloke had a flashback and was reliving his childhood...or was it only the kids in my street that did this?

I was the best in our street, all the other kids fell off by the end of the road, I was still hanging on til the next stop

i used to hang on to the back of the mobile green grocer's van!! i bet you never had one of those did ya!!!!
Now why would that be legend? You saying i ate too many ice creams over the years and its slowed my pace??????
reminds me of the incident years ago when there was an assassination attempt on the pope. Luckily they missed all his vital organs, they shot him in the nuts.
rb, we had one of those up here the other week. I remember the pop man more than anything else as a kid though.

RB, when we used to go to visit my nan in Suffolk they had a `sweetshop` van come round..Shotters was his name...he barred me and my brother from going in there cos we were from London...the filthy carrott cruncher!

I can remember having the mobile green grocer.....and the pop man.
We also used to have one where you bought boxes of choc ices, ice lollies. etc. Me and my dad would join in with the long tunes it played just to wind my mum up :)

Every street had its Lardarse family...everyone used to stand there with a handfull of pennys waiting for a Fab,Screwball or Cornet...the Lardarses stood there with the washing up bowl..."Fill that up please"
