Has it been another week already? I hope we are in for a smoother ride than last week. Does anybody know what happened to take AB off line for so long?

Rumour has it that AB Editor answered THREE messages in quick succession, invoked the five-minute rule and was taken off automatically for being a suspected spammer! Unfortunately for us, no Editor means "no AB" until she's re-instated!

I teased kettledrum by telling her that SHE had caused it by scoring points and breaking a LONG sequence of zeros! [Just kidding!] However, she did ask an interesting question ~ namely to whom should she now pass the wooden spoon? Well, my records are kept to monitor successes not failures; but they clearly indicate that seekers of such information should know that a certain person has not scored a single point in the last NINE weeks. Cryptically, this person leads each Saturday through ever-more fabulous fantasies!

Last week was the time for the big hitters with Grenmus (in MM) and lysander (in KM) taking the honours. Whoever heads the MM League Table on Sunday evening will earn the right to set the MM link words throughout the month of June.

Sincere thanks to our current setter burgess (aka Alan) for some original Link Words which have demonstrated an inventive mind!

Look out for these games tomorrow morning starting about 7.30 am for KM and exactly 8.45am for MM. If you haven't yet joined in the crazy crowd then use tomorrow as a practice run, then all of JUNE to gain the points needed to set the words in JULY.

Newcomers are always welcome!

I think some of the random ravers etc. are wandering about in a different part of the shrubbery, having got fed up with waiting for your appearance, Crofter.
Anyway, now I'm here I'm going to bags a good spot, pitch my tent, put on the kettle and start noshing my sarnies - cheese and pineapple this week for a change. I think Pauline's going to be a little late - packing for her hols.
Anyone else out there?

Sorry for the delay. I was on digging/planting duty for Mrs Crofter's 92-year-old father!

MM has a site that opens at 8.45am, but the words appear at 9.00am (or should do!)

Regarding the Telegraph Cryptic, similar comments apply to the EV (in the ST)!

Oh, oh, oh .. boasting now are we Magseygee? Queijo is but cheese under a different name after all. I must admit to a liking for chouricao though it's not to everyone's taste. So how about providing some polvo too? Come to think of it we could use the polvo to slow Sarumite down tomorrow!

Looks like a typical Portuguese bar to me Sarumite. Didn't spot the polvo lurking under the table though. Hello Pauline, glad you got your priorities right and packed early to come to the party. Think I'll abandon the tea now, and raise my glass for a toast to Pauline - Here's wishing you and Reg a really fantastic holiday
