If Prince William and Prince Harry are called HRH. Prince William of Wales, and HRH. Prince Henry (Harry) of Wales, are they no longer to use the family name of Windsor? I ask this because on Harry's military helmet is the name Wales.

Although the Royal Family are of the House of Windsor, their personal surnames are not Windsor...

They also style themselves to reflect the position they hold e.g. Edward Wessex, Beatrice York etc.
Actually, some maintain their surname should be 'Wettin' - the surname of Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria. He was of the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, but the family name was Wettin.

The name was changed from S-C-G to Windsor in WWI as it was thought too Germanic, and Queen Mary (actually May) was German.

Imagine Her Maj as Mrs Wettin!
