Hello

I was wondering whether anyone could help me with information about the above school. Looking into my family history and have found two pupils here in 1901 they are 12 and 14 yrs of age. They lost their father in the late 1800's and have been sent here, the mother and three brothers were all alive and continued to live together. The boys are all working, one is a Merchant Bankers clerk and the other two work in offices, so do not appear to be struggling very much. Do you think it was to give the girls a good education or were they sort of left there to fend for themselves? I can find a small amount of info about the school saying how they looked after the money and then boys could be educated but no mention of the girls school. I onder when it closed and that sort of thing? I hope they did not get a rough time here as you so often hear about.

Anyone know anything about the school, I would be very interested to hear.

Thank you
