You Tube helps catch crooks

An Austrian storekeeper has the caught shoplifters who held up his store by putting the CCTV footage on You Tube. The footage showed two men stealing a �1,000 laptop but people who watched the footage were able to identify the men, contact the shopkeeper and then get them arrested. Do you think that this kind of innovation could provide a good way of catching criminals in such cases? Or is it a freak one-off that couldn't happen again?

of course it could happen again... lots of people viewing cctv footage is nothing new - think crime stoppers tv programme etc...
