I think it makes sense - you want to call a UK mobile from the US using a UK registered mobile.

The international access code from the US is 011 (not 001) so to call a UK landline from there to say Manchester is

011 44 161 xxx yyyy

To call a UK mobile is similar

011 44 7799 xxxyyy

It doesn't matter what the phone is, it is an international call from the US to the UK.

Thanks!
When i've been in the US, i just pressed the number in my phones memory just the same as over here.
Incidently the international dial code for UK from the US is 044 or +44
The international dial code for calling US From UK is 001.

Hope this helps.

Ah, so it's 001 if you're calling the US from the UK and 011 44 if you're calling the UK from a US landline....think i've got it now!
No It's jus +44 or 044 to call uk from USA NO 011 in it at all.

To call a UK mobile from a UK mobile in the US dial 011 44 no matter where the UK mobile you are calling is. You could replace 011 with a + symbol if you like
