Our cities are now becoming like Chicago of the 1930s and we are now seeing armed police patrolling our streets for the first time. What can be done to rid our streets of the Gangster like attitude of some of our young Blacks?
There is also the threat of more vilolence with the influx of Eastern Europeon organised crime.
Are we now seeing the results of this countries failed immigration policies? and will Enoch Powells warnings of Rivers of Blood come even more close to becoming a reality?

Claps Fingerprint for pointing out the easily verifiable fact of the git's constant obsession with posting attacks on blacks, Asians and any other non-whites in the UK. Anyone can see the man has some sort of lunatic fixation with the subject, and his subtexts are so barely 'sub' it's untrue.

There are absolutely debates to be had about race and immigration and black gun crime etc, but what's the point if the starting point for the debate is 'I'm an irrational racist and nothing will change my mind'?
Like most posts on racial issues it ends up with a load of white people bickering between themselves over who is racist and who isn't.

When refering to anyone of a different race, by the very word it must be a racial comment, but not neccersay a racist comment. What are you suggesting Fingerprint, that no one should discuss racial issues? Just as people of other races should be allowed to discuss points appertaining to us. This is the one thing we are proud of in this country, and that is the privilege of Free Speach. A priviledge that you Fingerprint would so obviously like to put an end to. Thank God you will never succeed.
anotheoldgit - There is a huge difference between discussing people of a different race and being racist, yourself being the latter. I don't think any reasonable person could read your posts and not find them racist, and if you fail to find anything wrong with the things you are saying then it is only because you have become to locked into your views to see them rationally.

I am absolutely for the freedom of speach, but the freedom of speach also comes with responsibilities. I have stated that I think it very important to discuss these issues, but they must be discussed in a sensible balanced manner and just used as an opportunity to attack anyone who is a bit different.
I'm with Fingerprint and the others who agree about anotheoldgit's absolute dislike of foreigners & ethnic mintoirities. Surely this racist person should be banned?
Why should they be banned for thinking different to you, surly it's better to know what others think,, you are still allowed to think for yourself, well at least i think you are, hard to tell these days.
Because that person is racist.
Freedom of speech cuts boths ways; so no, don't ban the Git. He has a perfect right to be judged by his own words.

Hmmm, it gets to something when you call for the ban of someone, just because you dont agree with their views.
Why cant people just accept that people are different. Everyone is entitled to an opinion in this country.
Well done Waldo for not calling for his ban. As you say, people are entitled to read and make their own minds up on his views. If they think he is racist then, so be it.
If certain people stopped playing the race card all the time, then maybe others might feel they have a just cause, but i think it turns more people off when they see it being played at every discussion.
Can I just point out something...anotheoldgit's posts to the news section are generally questions relating to race, but not exclusively.

Also, he posts to other thread topics.

I would not want the News thread to be exclusively populated by people with my own political outlook (how boring would that be?)

As long as the posts aren't offensive, it shouldn't be an issue.

By the way, here's a weird thought - you can actually be racist without being offensive.

I know...it's a weird concept, but I've met a few racists in my time and they know how to couch their language in terms that cannot be construed as racist.

Well, Well,Well I may have been called many things in my time, but racist I am not and I take extreme exception to being called one. But I am a person who loves my country, free speech and equal rights for all Men, (oh sorry and Women, let's get that out of the way before someone accuses me of being a sexist).

I thank you for coming to my defence sp1814, but then you spoil yourself with that silly observation of yours in the last two paragraphs. You can actually be a racist without being offensive, and they can couch their language in terms that cannot be construed as racist. Now come on one either offends by being racist or not, if not then what's the big deal? You cannot have it both ways, but blimey wait a minute, surely the 'Thought Police' have not become a reality?

There are certain sections of the community who have become accustomed with the politicians, the police and the media playing a low profile in case it offends certain minorities, so when these individuals read anything that spells out the truth, then it must come as a bit of a shock. So it is a breath of fresh air to have sites such as AB where posters can still enjoy the freedom of speech. This site is responsibly run and I am sure that if I was really considered by the Editor to be posting racist content then surely I would be banned forthwith.

This is in no way an apology, but at the end of the day, if I have really offended anyone or they are getting rather uncomfortable with the real truth, then I may be willing to discontinue my influx to this site. But first let's have a democratic vote, shall I go or should I stay?
If you went you wouldn't be missed by me. I think you *are* bigotted and you are obsessed with race and your constant agenda-led questions get in the way of having sensible debates about some serious issues.

However, if you stay it bothers me not at all either, and you're entitled to post your questions and responses as you wish.

Don't kid yourself that your 'democratic vote' has any merit either way though.
Question Author
I'll take that as a YES then.
Correct. I think you should *either* go *or* stay.
MrBenS. If you substitute the word Propaganda for Indoctrination in my post, it might help you to understand.

Hitler used propaganda very effectively to get the German people behind him and so did Chairman Mao. The same could be said of the effect of Rap music on young black males.
My point is that it's effect has been proven, usually for malignant purposes, but why can't it used by the media, schools etc to condition our young people in the 'right' direction ?

A retrograde step ? Perhaps.
I actually feel that he probably should be banned, it's very easy to make the argument about the freedom of speach, but not so easy when you and your family are on the end of the abuse and stereotypes simply because of the colour of your skin.

I don't have any problem with people debating racial issues or having the opinion of their choice, but when someone just spends all their time making racist posts and questions that do not form any kind of coherant argument then surely this should be stopped.

I also think that there is a real double standard on this issue. For example if a Muslim cleric made derogatory comments about white people and made a ridiculous stereotype - such as all white people are drug addicts, 99 out of 100 posts on this site would be screaming for the cleric to be deported or locked up, and people would criticise the police for not acting. We constantly see the same hatred and stereotyping from antheoldgit, and the same people who would be screaming for deportation or prison for the cleric believe it's his freedom of speach.
