Hya peeps and welcome to my auction (whoops sorry wrong site) just a quest here to ask, am I the only one to love the music of granddady or is there anyone else out there who loves them as I have only met one other person on this planet that has heard of them.
there indie style of music is the best and there lyricks are also the best, and I thought that they would be reconised when the coca cola ad on tv had there tune Im gona walk right up that mountain but alas nobody seemed to say who sung that catchy song.
Anyway if you like granddady whats your favoirite track, now its on is mine and have that on me phone as a ringtone, stray dog and the chocolate milk shake comes second but all there tracks are gr8 .
so come on all you granddady fans out there let us know how you feel but what a shame that they have split up a long time ago......

Yes, I quite liked them in the late 90s/early 00s. Can't admit to being their biggest fan in the world but I liked their singles: in particular I remember Hewlett's Daughter, He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot and The Crystal Lake, all of which were very easy on the ear.
I'm a massive Grandaddy fan, have seen them here in the UK, and also in San Diego when they were touring the Sumday album. Underneath the Weeping Willow from The Sophtware Slump and The Warming Sun from Sumday are my favourite songs.

It was a shame when they split, Jason Lytle said they wanted to go out on a high, but I was disappointed with the last album Just Like th Fambly Cat.

Me and my mates have a concept called "Grandaddy Rules". If you like an album so much that you are raving about it you can "call Grandaddy Rules on it" i.e. if the other person doesn't like it, you have to give them the cost of it in hard cash. It comes from when we all bought The Sophtware Slump and were raving about it! ;-)
