I stayed in one recently, and they had a smoking room, barred everywhere else, including the bedroom, but I would imagine others may be different.
If it's regulated in the same way as Scotland then no. It will be classed as a place of work and therefore no smoking will be allowed.
As dogfish says if it's a place of employment then no smoking. You cannot even have a smoking room as staff will have to enter it. Although the debate focuses on Bars etc the actual legislation does not refer to them directly, it refers to places of work and of course all bars are places of work even if just the landlord is behind the bar.
So the owners can't have a fag in their own rooms?
bendygirl, I love your name
In their own private accomodation, yes they can smoke 45703. Assuming of course there are no employees.
