this is definitely a long shot, but ages ago i read a brilliant book which id love to find again, but cannot remember the title or even the author! It is about a woman who is a free spirit, she spends her whole life travelling around the world etc, while her sister has a career and children back in england. The woman comes back to the sister after a family emergency and her niece thinks she is pregnant but by both of them taking a pregnancy test they find out the woman is, and she thinks her years of travelling and freedom are over. The father is a captain with whom she had a relationship with whilst working on board his boat in return for a 'lift'. Meanwhile the sisters husband is possibly having an affair. I think these details are all correct, like i said it is a long shot if any knows it but would be very grateful for any suggestions.
