Or a travel agent with banking or money change facilities.

You may need to take your passport though.

unless going to the US, or somewhere devoid of ATMs, I wouldn't bother. ATM + Debit card usually works out cheaper.

If travellers cheques are lost or stolen then you can get them replaced really quickly, if you are relying on your Debit Card and that is lost or stolen then you're stuffed!

I got dollar travellers cheques from the Post Office. Same day service, paid by debit card.
