Hi,
I am trying to organise a week long ski break on a budget for January 2007!
There will be around 10 of us, all on a budget. I went Les Arcs 1800 2 years ago; great resort - bars, club, nice.
We are all aged about 20-25. Looking for a catered chalet ideally, just for us.
Perfect to get ski pass and hire of ski's included.
Any ideas?! And also what ARE the slopes like January time? I went in Feb, and it was ok...
Thanks!

we stayed here http://www.alpescape.com/chalet.shtml last year, v reasonable & staff v good. you maybe won't get it to yourselves (we didn't) but there's plenty of room. None of the chamonix ski areas are too far away & the proprietor can take you to the more remote ones if you don't have your car with you.
we went on a group ski holiday in jan this year, there was 10 of us who went to chamonix, nightlife is brilliant and good happy hours in some bars if you like the apres to get you in the mood!food and drink very reasonable,we were staying in a catered chalet but we found it a bit of a tie with having to be back for the evening meal, but the rest was brilliant,we stayed at chalet mont blanc and went with thomsons, worked out about 400 each for a week.the chalet was the dogs, right on the nursery slope and 30 seconds to the lifts!!
