Hi,
I have just started my A2 History course, and part of the course is an Individual Assignment. The problem is that I cannot think of what to do!
I was thinking along the lines of the English Civil War or World War 1 or 2, only I also cannot think of a problem.
I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me,
Thank you in advance,
Faith

What does the assignment ask of you?
do a oral history ninterview and then gleen some factual and personal contemporary insite from it. do u have an elderly relative who has had an interesting experience? it is amazing how much this can be worthwhile,
Hi Fiona, wasn't the problem with Borders? that's usually how wars start...

A modern 'border' war i suppose is Israel, Palestine, Gaza and Lebanon.

English Civil War, I think was based on Anglo/Scottish border... well, one of them was....

War is about taking land, amongst other such attrocities...

No, Beryllium, the English Civil War had nothing to do with borders. It was all about the king wanting to be an absolute monarch and parliament wanting a bit of what we now call democracy.
I would suggest Fiona_m, you leave war alone and do your assignment on something you are actually interested - maybe a local topic or a hobby - but I don't know what criteria are laid down.
Aristotle...lol... which one was the border one, with the anglo /scottish war... been a very very long time since school for me....
Beryllium, there was fighting over the anglo-scottish border for centuries but not exactly a war so far as I can remember - not that I'm really that old!
