He says he has done no wrong. he is bound to say that as he wants to keep on to his job. He would claim he was sleep walking if he was caught robbing a bank such is the level he has stooped to. Why oh why cant they just show him the door? he is morally and politically corrupt.

you don't much like him, do you DT... but the reason they keep him on is widely known: he's the last link to the constituency of Old Labour voters, working people. The rest of his party are lawyers or career politicians, entirely without knowledge of real work. If he goes, who will these voters turn to? Ukip, probably. The trouble is, Prescott seems to be very New Labour in his love for the high life. I don't mean croquet, a game anyone can play, but hanging out with billionaires... and Blair isn't going to sack someone for hanging out with billionaires if he can help it, because it's just the sort of thing he loves to do himself. Me, I'd sack him for incompetence rather than corruption, but then I don't need the working class vote

Specific allegations are that he has met an American billionaire at least 7 times, AND stayed on his ranch in the USA, when this man is trying to set up a super casino in the UK.

He DID NOT declare the visit to the Ranch, when all MPs are supposed to declare any freebies they get, to avoid corruption scandals.

This man is supposed to be DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER but like Sven when he was England manager, treat it as an excuse to grab every bit of money and glamour they can.

He is one of the the WORST examples of a snouts in the trough politician, and he has the nerve to say he is a socialist.

He is the like the pigs in Animal Farm, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

How he is still in a position of importance I will never know.

jake read a newspaper....dont have to go beyond the first page headlines to know what i am talking about. turn the Tv on and you will have to only hear the ehadlines.

Downing street spokesperson has just announced that Prescott is not fat and hence will not have to pay any fat tax. Tony Blair is also reportedly 101% confident that Prescott is a nubile and slim person and is the best person for the job.

I thought this government was socialist ~ aren't socialist politicians very rich people who tell every other person with a smidge of money to hand it to them so that they can keep most, and hand a little bit to the poor?

Mr Pippa pays just over �11,000 per year in tax. Before tax he is an above average earner, after tax he is below average. In fact after tax he earns less than my council house occupying brother in law who lives very well on cash in hand job & benefits.

Prescott is not connected with the Casinos decision, that's Tessa Jowell.

His department tried to pay so that it wouldn't be a freebie but ended up making a donation to charity instead which is why it wasn't registerred at first with the members interests.

The press really have it in for Prescott and are looking for any excuse.

JNO...Its got nothing to do with Prescott...i dislike cheating, two faced, slimebag politicians and am prepared to call a fahrt a fahrt whether it comes from a Tory or a Labour haharse. Well how about this .... at my place of work just after the Prescott affair became known, a male colleague made some inapropriate advances to me and said "if John Prescott can get away with it so can I" . I thought Labour were all for respect and progress for women ... I hardly think that the way he has behaved does that.
