Do you have to wait a certain amount of time after giving birth to get your hair permed?

they predate all advances


get yourself down to the shop


and live to take some chances

Perms and pregnancy/breastfeeding - no problem.

The only reason pregnant women are told to be careful with them is because the hormones can sometimes prevent the perm 'taking' as it should. The chemicals are unlikely to harm you or your baby, so long as you're both healthy.

i would suggest that you wait for a little while until your hormones settle back down again, pregnancy and birth can do some strange things to hair!


voice of calm, they are not all old wives tales, and you cannot just take a chance when you are pregnant or have just had a baby.
