Global Warming/Plants

Apparently scientists have just discovered that as plants grow, they emit Methane, and are the biggest contributer to Gobal Warming there is, but we need the plants along with myriads of other creatures, so whats the solution?, I don't know if it really is a new discovery, but they say it is.

Funny that! Plants have been on this planet for millions of years and everything has been tickitty boo. Humans invent the internal combustion engine and the planet warms up but its the plants fault. These 'scientists' arent employed by oil companies or logging companies are they?

The solution is to leave it alone! The planet controls itself, mankind has nothing to do with it, never has. Global warming yada yada yada is all part of the natural "long carbon cycle" . Reduce polution by all means but let's stop beating ourselves up about "climate change"

gary baldy - Urbanisation/overpopulation creates much much more emissions than car engines! The population of the planet has increased from 1billion to around 6.5billion in 200 years. Its simply unsustainable but what do we do about that? thats right nothing!

Likewise the methane from paddy fields in china and the americas. Remember that the next time you order a portion of rice at the chinese.

Its not a new discovery i watched a programme years ago on how the rain forest is contributing, can't remember exactly how but something like washing something into a basin that then releases methane into the atmosphere. there is no solution, the fact is that the planet does this to itself naturally, it has put itself into several ice ages alredy, the point is that we are speading it up a lot more.
