Were they offered the extra £1600+ lump sum top up weeks ago as well?
Question Author
How much extra does that equate to in percentage terms?
Do you have proof that they were seeking 19% ?

Sounds wrong.
It’s a 2% one off extra payment
I think it was the junior doctors after the ridiculous amount.

As Barry says there is a 'bonus' this year only plus the rate rise.
It's not just nurses who have been offered the £1600 - £2400 bonus.

No, it was the nurses asking for 19.2%, the RCN

"Asked why the UK Government had apparently rowed back on the idea of awarding any pay rise worth more than 3.5%, the spokesman replied: ‘We weren’t prepared to have the talks unless the unions called off the disruptive strike action.

‘You’ll remember when this issue first arose, the ask was for a 19.2% pay rise, which wouldn’t have been affordable."
