//a transition to green energy should not come at the expense of indigenous rights // I would think that everywhere the damned windmills are dumped has someone who is indigenous to the area. Or are we to give some "indigenous" types more rights to say no than others? Is the Swedish doom goblin the appointed arbiter of such a selection? Perhaps we can just put...

Not that i know of,roy.Looks like to me as though she has changed her position from being very pro-wind farms to now being actively against wind farms.I wish she would make her mind up.
She was carted off (briefly) by police in Norway. She told Reuters ‘the transition to green energy cannot come at the expense of indigenous rights’- so I guess that means green is good as long as it doesn’t inconvenience anyone. :o/

Sorry, I can’t post a link but that came from Euronews.
Life is nuanced.

Sounds to me that Greta doesnt know her *rse from her elbow.A lot of us indigenous Scots were wondering where she was when Scotland got planted(and disfiguered)with wind-farms encouraged by people like Greta.
But ynna, you’re not a reindeer herder.
ynna... Perhaps in the womb; or maybe in primary school?
Question Author
No its not,Atheist.Greta has spent her life fighting for wind-farms and the like. Now she is actively fighting against wind-farms and their like.As i said-"i wish she would make her mind up".
Ynna; when did wind farms start and when was Greta born?
Question Author
There are no grey issues here.Either you are for wind farms or you are against wind farms. As i said Ms Thunberg doesnt know her *rse from her elbow.
ynna; I'm just saying that... Oh, never mind, hen. :-))

You said "Scots were wondering where she was when Scotland got planted(and disfiguered)with wind-farms encouraged by people like Greta."

I just said that she might not have been born then, or she might have been in primary school.
ynna '' Let's not start quarelling again! I'm not worth it! :-)
Question Author
Im Scottish,Atheist.I am quarrelsome. It comes with the territory.Anyway,Thunberg,is she pro-wind farms or anti- wind farms? What do you think?
ynna
What's happening to all that oil you Scots have up there ?
ynna, I'm quarter Scots, but only 10% as quarrelsome as you! As for Greta, I think she's pro-planet and pro-continuance of human life on our planet. Sometimes issues are less black and white than you think. You have to balance issues one against the other. She might think that a particular wind-farm is not acceptable in that particular location.
I hope I'm not p-ing you off with an excess of reasonableness and politeness (I see you as a closet sweetie) :-)

@18.20.We have approximately 50 years of oil and gas around the Scottish coast. The SNP and the Greens wont allow us to exploit this asset. They prefer to import all our gas and oil needs from abroad. With all that entails. So much for the much slogan of the SNP-"Its Scotlands Oil".No its nae,nae any more.
send her to the Norwegian-owned Spitzbergen and tell the guards, i.e. the bf of my niece who is up there for such a job for a Cruise film, to lower their guard against polars......particularly as she seems want to claw her way into publicity.

She probably will claim next that penguins are awful for the environment...after all unwrapping them is not that easy.
YNNAFYMMI, "she has changed her position from being very pro-wind farms to now being actively against wind farms."

Thunberg is not "actively against wind farms." she is opposing the wind turbines only in specific locations.

The Norwegian Supreme Court ruled in 2021 that construction permits for them were invalid.
