Not sure what is the point of patrol boats? What are they for?
They are not deterring anyone, they may even be encouraging more crossing because they know they will have a safe journey.
If we ceased all patrols boats, coastguard monitoring and satellite tracking, we would save a fortune.
Instead of taking them into custody as soon as they reach our shores, there should be no one to greet them here, no police, no asylum office, no Border Farce, no transport or accommodation laid on.
With the savings we could have big signs made saying ‘Go Home, you are not welcome’ in 18 different languages.
