Thank you, Bobbi. I'm a happy soul but there are strange things I cannot bear....and as an adult I now realise why.
But hey....I'm a lot luckier than some who landed at the hands of perverts....x

Well it seems we are mostly all of one mind. I hope we get more of this story. They certainly can't let him mix with others, can you imagine the explosion if they did and he killed again. I wonder what sort of upbringing he had that brought him to where he is now.
Gness I get that’s what makes you you? Like a soft centred sweet because you’ve had to be xxxx
It just doesn't add up sure they are punishing him for errors of the prisons in handling nonce prisoners.
They should give him that place they put the Lockerbie bomber in.
But don’t forget the hard outside, Bobbi. ;-)
I don't get it - folks on here wish all kinds of retribution in prison to criminals who commit vile crimes then when someone does it the avenger gets slated! What DO you want?
I would have done something 40 plus years ago. He should have been given a lethal injection not incarcerated for all these years. What justice is there in putting a person in solitary confinement and driving them insane ? Torture is evil .
I can’t imagine it Gness

I don't want him to be allowed a poor Budgie in his cell. Birds shouldn't have to do bird.
Give him a cell on ground level with a window to admit natural light. He should also have access to books and a radio.
Whatever he's done being buried alive is too harsh a punishment.
I was gonna ask this - I'm not allowed to have pets in my flat except fish or cage birds. Is it cruel to keep a caged bird? Presumably budgies & parrots etc. bred in captivity know no other life & would die if released in Britain. I agree they should be bred wild & live in their natural habitat - but what if they aren't?
Question Author
The least I would do for it is give it its freedom inside my home. But I would have a caged bird.
Like several others, I regard the restriction of access to books and television to be inhumane.

Unlike others, I cannot agree that because he murdered convicted criminals, he should in some way be seen as fit, either for release, or for assocation - those decisions are made by people with far more knowledge and experience than any of us.
Expand on experience, Andy.
gness - // Expand on experience, Andy. //

I use the word 'experience' in my post to indicate the experience that experts have in dealing with individuals like this.

Their experience is going to be accademic, rather than personal - since I would suggest that personal experience would render the objectivity needed to work in this area redundant.
I'm not sure anyone here sees him as 'fit'.
pasta - // I'm not sure anyone here sees him as 'fit'. //

Again I use the word in conext - referring to his fitness to be allowed to mix with others.
Hmmm. Your way doesn’t seem to be going too well though, Andy.
gness - // Hmmm. Your way doesn’t seem to be going too well though, Andy. //

How so exactly?
Maudsley should never be allowed the opportunist to sweep through prison wreaking his own vengeance.
