Good idea, Harry! We'll all get a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix. That'll feed the kids and pay the mortgage.

Naomi //I don’t think he knew he was unhappy in his job until his wife told him he was.// What makes you say that? https://ibb.co/WnBLKSW

AH // prevent him from uttering garbage like this//
Actually it is not garbage, a friend of mine was in a job that he hated which, eventually, led to him being treated for depression.Nobody should stay in a job which makes them unhappy.
Mental health issues aren't solved by wealth, either. It may take some stress off and put others on. But it's quite individual what people want or need.
Andy-//Harry has never grasped the simple fact that every single thing he says and does is viewed by the world through the prism of his wealth and position.//

Perhaps "Harry has never grasped the simple fact that every single thing he says and does is going to be vilified by the people who hate him" is more on the ball. Fella could cure Covid and will still be criticised by some people.

danny, //Actually it is not garbage//

It's garbage to suggest that changing a job because you're unhappy is a matter of choice. For most with responsibilities it isn't.

A bit like Trump then.
//A bit like Trump then.//

Depends if it's by injecting bleach or not I guess.
I always have done, with or without responsibilities. But, having been fairly brassic in the past, over always been careful not to over-commit and trap myself.
Personally, I know I would be better off in a minimum wage job, that one I hated that paid more.
I wouldn't want Harry's previous position, no matter how much money it came with.

Lies do have a habit to sticking with those who relish perpetrating them.
Sounds like Donny and Harry are more similar than either would like.

Doubt it.
Still cannot believe how pussy whipped this fella is
From popular royal to object of ridicule in such a short space of time
Sometimes you do a job that is hell for the right reasons. How many doctors and nurses right now would leave it they could find something that afford to change to. Probably not as many as say they would. Go home, cry/ drink a few glasses of wine/ do it again tomorrow.
The burden of not letting colleagues down knowing if you were not there they would have to take up the slack as it may not be possible to fill the post for months...
Maybe he was already unhappy, and came to his senses? Two children, different priorities.
Talk about the privileged stating the obvious!

I am reminded of the song - There's a hole in my bucket.

"On what shall we live, deary Henry, dear Henry, on what shall we live, dear Henry on what?"
Mozz - // Perhaps "Harry has never grasped the simple fact that every single thing he says and does is going to be vilified by the people who hate him" is more on the ball. Fella could cure Covid and will still be criticised by some people. //

Perhaps so, but to be clear, that is not what I said, because it is not my view.

Criticism comes with the role and status that Harry has - and that does not make that right, but thinking before pronouncing could stop adding to it.
I think what he is trying to say is, if you are a Prince of the British Realm and you are unhappy, then marry an American woman, go and live in her country and preach to the great unwashed.
In other words, if I can do it, so can everyone else.
To reiterate my point - the validity of the message Harry is espousing is always going to be buried under the complete unsuitability of him being someone to offer it.

If you are a prince of the realm, married to a millionaire actress. and have never had to work for one second at a job you didn't want, and you currently have no appreciable evidence that you do anything approaching an actual 'job' at all - then if you try and give advice to anyone who is not in you position, which is everyone apart from your immediate family, then you are never going to sound anything other than an out-of-touch moralising pointless prig.

And hey presto! That's how he sounds.

Plenty of messages are correct messages, but that doesn't stop them being missed, because of the complete unsuitability of the person taking it upon themselves to deliver them.

naomi - // I don’t think he knew he was unhappy in his job until his wife told him he was. //

Does anyone know what the 'job' was that he was unhappy in?

Was it hoovering up tax payers' money via the Civil List while he got naked at parties and wore Nazi uniforms - that 'job'?
A great many ex-squaddies struggle adapting to civilian life after leaving the forces. It's possible, even likely, the Harry was one of those, which may well have caused the disillusionment with his role in the Royal family. (A hypothesis only of course, none of us know the truth)
