without a doubt
Absolutely. When our youngest shared our room in her cot, if she turned over in her sleep, my wife would turn over at the same time, and vice versa. There is obviously a special bond between a mother and her children which never dies.

absolutley, i was due to go to dinner at my ex father in laws, and on the way in the car i had the most over whelming feeling that i had to go home, i literally screeched at my FIL to take me home, when i got home my son was having a massive asthma attack and my mum was about to phone me before taking him to hospital. Similarly to andy, me and my son sleep in the same position, even down to having the same foot out of the duvet!

I am probably boring you, but i have remembered when he was in special care (he was 3 and a half months early) i was allowed to stay in the nurses quaters and visit the SCBU when i wanted, and on some nights i had such trouble sleeping and on visiting the unit i would find that he had stopped breathing, or he was unwell.

We have a massive bond and my insticts with my son are very strong and i think most mums would be the same.

I can certainly vouch for a mothers instinct, as it has guided me quite a few times. It helped me to sense problems and thus avoid major disasters. My son is now 15 years old and still it is as strong as it was when he was 3 days old. It also does not matter how far away he is, I can still get the message that something is wrong. I have learnt to trust it and am very grateful that it exists.
Absolutely but I don't think it stops when they get older. My sons are 32 & 30 but they can't tell me anything I didn't already know!
Yup, it exists. And it is the thing that makes the menstrual pain, the pregnancy, the labor pain and the menopause worth going through.

It's tough being a woman. It's tougher being a mom.
Without a doubt - there was with my Mum & there is with our own daughters.
