That was a tasteless stupid remark and Mr West has apologised.
We all say things we don't mean - being a known actor means that when you say something, your stupidity gets exposed to the world for a few minutes, and then everyone moves on.
I think it is evidence of one individual speaking before thinking - it hardly amounts to a political manifesto.

Joe Biden's team seem to have been very understanding and respectful of the potus' illness. I can't imagine it would've been the same if it had been the other way around.

I was referring specifically to Trump and Biden. Had Biden caught the lurgy, I can't imagine Donny would back off and grant him recovery time. He would probanly be calling Biden weak, or similar, just as he did with Hillary Clinton's bout of pneumonia four years ago.

There are no doubt plenty of "nasty lefties", but ymb is sadly mistaken if he thinks it's only (or predominately) that way round. At a guess, it's because there's more reason to pay attention when it's "your side" under attack than when it's "your side" doing the attacking.
