"Intrude"? No. Each such space sets its own rules.

Transvestite men identifying as women demand access to female spaces.
Sorry, no link, but widely known.
Is it widely known? What’s your source?
Who decides if it's a intrusion?
A subject oft debated over the years here, with very strong views.

Whilst I can understand some unease I would never use communal loos or changing rooms (unless I had absolutely no choice) therefore I would have my private space to change or attend to my toilet needs.
No, they don't have the right to intrude into women's toilets, changing rooms, etc.
Trying again eh TL?

I think you're getting Transvestites and Transexuals mixed up. Tranvestites do not necessarily identify as women.
I remember going to a club in my youth in Manchester that was known for having a lot of transvestites there, and they all used the ladies toilets. Has that changed iluvmargie?
I have no idea Barsel. I've never come across it and I certainly wouldn't want men to use women's toilets in my presence. I'm funny that way !!
Theland; transvestites are men who dress up as women, sometimes for fun, sometimes to earn a living. Perhaps you meant transgender, which is a completely different thing.
I'm equally alarmed, Mozz, that TL doesn't seem to know the difference between 'transvestite' and 'transexual'. It's a very big difference too!

The solution is simple and that's to abandon the idea of male and female 'safe spaces' altogether. Most swimming pools and leisure centres no longer have male and female changing rooms; they simply have 'changing villages', where both men and women use individual cubicles to change. Similarly many public venues (such as Somerset House) no longer have men's and women's toilets. They simply have toilet areas consisting of individual cubicles (with no urinals) and shared hand-washing facilities. (It's hardly a new idea. Many smaller restaurants, such as the majority of Indian restaurants, have only ever had single toilets anyway).
I have a friend who likes to dress as a woman every now and again and he has always told me that he would NEVER go into a ladies toilet or changing rooms. Maybe you do mean transgender Theland?
Since getting rid of the small strongbox in the wardrobe we now have a safe space.

Hope this helps.

Correct all.
My mistake.
Lockdown lunacy.
Transsexuals.
Apologies for the mistake.
Normal service has now been resumed.
nailit - // Your son is a known homo.
Do we decry him?

or support him? //

That's uncalled for.

Using an adjective in the phrase 'a known … ' is commonly reserved for ciminals - 'a known gangster / gun runner / fraudster' etc., and to use this term here infers criminality, which of course is utterly unfounded.

Similarly, the term 'homo' is derogatory, and inappropriate.

I think you own Theland an apology for your unprovoked attack on his son, which is nothing to do with the thread whatsoever.
There's a lot of anger knocking about Andy, sad.
