She says he had sex with her three times, he says he’s never even met her....though there is a famous photo showing them together. None of us were present (I assume) but which of them does your instinct tell you is speaking the truth and which is lying? My instinct believes Ms Roberts

//. As of August 2018, each U.S. state has set its age of consent at either age 16, age 17, or age 18.//
Interesting article published a few weeks back in the Huffington Post.

Scroll down to just above the solo photograph of the forgetful Prince and read what is said by a former Commander in the Metropolitan Police, and in charge of a Royal Protection Unit. He is at a loss to understand why the Met dropped enquiries in 2015.

Further down the page is a photograph of ex Cabinet Minister Peter Mandelson in company with Epstein.

Wonder if Andy will now help the Police with re-opened matters.

Hans.
I believe Prince Andrew is an arrogant boorish person who is badly advised, and continues to make poor decisions.

The Queen has always done it the right way - never apologize, never explain - and he should have learned from her.
AH, //The Queen has always done it the right way - never apologize, never explain//

I think you’ll find that is ‘Never complain, never explain’. I’ve no doubt the queen is gracious and well-mannered enough to apologise should she feel an apology is warranted.
Maybe get Jeremy Kyle on the case with his polygraph!!
// But Andrew, if he is Vehemently protesting his innocent, //

He's not though, he's saying he has no recollection of it, which is about the only thing he can say under the circumstances, because it's a statement that can't be disproved.
He's just been plain stupid. Initially she did what she did for money and she's still after money. She was 17 she knew what she was doing. Yes they are both liars and I can't understand this being so newsworthy.
NellieMay - // … and I can't understand this being so newsworthy. //

I can.

Apart from the continual global obsession with the Royal Family, this boorish idle arrogant oaf is financed from the public purse.

His failure to understand that friendship with a convicted paedophile is not a good idea is not a matter for him as a Prince, it's a matter for him as a human being, albeit one without brains, or judgement, or the ability to stay out of trouble.

The fact that he rocks up on national television and tells us he 'Let the side down ...' as though he is a Sunday morning footballer who missed a penalty, shows how seriously out of touch with the real world he is.

The fact that the real world has laws, and the dispensers of those laws will have some tall questions for him, is something he is hoping to squirm out of, and because he is a prince, he probably will.

The man is an amoral repugnant leech, he should be taken off the Royal List today.
The Queen should have made an appointment with Marie Stopes after Princess Anne was born!
Randy Andys ex of toe sucking fame is quoted as saying Andrew is a gentleman, it's a funny old world.

The Prince's ex-wife's loyalty is to be admired, however badly misplaced it may turn out to be.
naomi - // I’ve no doubt the queen is gracious and well-mannered enough to apologise should she feel an apology is warranted. //

I have no doubt of that either.

What a shame she did not manage to pass on such admirable traits to her odious sons
"Jim, I think 18 is the usual age of consent in the US"

It various from state to state, but is generally 16:

I must admit I'm struggling to find the slightest interest in this. The royal family are a total anachronism and the sooner they're abolished the better. It is of supreme irrelevance to me what they do.

All it says to me is that a young woman had sex with a fabulously wealthy older man. That hardly ever happens, right?
AH, my thoughts exactly.
who happens to be the Queen's son, one who should know better.
I really couldn’t care less about any of the royal family, and never watch or read anything about them (even though I currently live a 3 minute drive away from one of Her Maj’s many residencies).
I did see the piece of the interview that was shown last night, though, and I can’t help thinking when he said “I kick myself on a daily basis” through 'laughter', was a tad dodgy.
Embarrassed laughter or covering up a lie laughter?
embarrassed at being caught out laughter i thought.
At least they're leaving Harry alone for 5 minutes.
I'm not making any comment on this until I've watched the interview tonight.
