I thought the Irish blood was all about honour?

Seems he has none.

A UFC fighter worth 85 million punched a man in the face in a bar, who was in his fifties, simply because he refused a drink from the professional UFC fighter.

He's been ordered to pay £860 and has avoided jail, even though his punches could be fatal to the average Joe.

Since the incident at Bellator 187 in 2017 he has lurched from one outburst to another and if he doesn't get this in check now he will lose everything he has worked for - worse than that, someone could die.

Imagine saying no to a shot of whiskey (I personally can) to be punched in the face for doing so? Then that person (worth 85 mil) is simply fined £850 with no repercussion.

After McGregor attacked the UFC bus, not only has he proven that he is wildly uncontrollable, and has a serious rage and disrespect for law and order, but he will also attack the regular public.

Shame on the authorities for not putting this man where he belongs.
He's a gypsy and I bet the guy he flattened wasn't. They treat non gypsies with total contempt.
I suppose this could have been any bar and in any town, not sure about the Irish and honour thing Spath
Great answer Aunty Polly

Bobbi, Mcgregor is irish, and if you listen how he talks about himself, his blood and his family, you'd think he'd have a shred of honour. He doesn't.
Question Author
What the authorities have said, is basically that Connor can assault who he wants, where he wants to a certain extent, and he won't face any retribution as long as he pays for his punches.

Considering he's worth eighty five million how many people could he knock out before he goes broke?
Apparently not but as AP said, they are contemptuous against the non Gypsy community, I forget what they call them ?
We don't know how the drink was declined. If it was in the manor of 'fekkoff ya big Irish eejit' then.........

It has nothing to do with him being a gypsie. Don't let APG's obsession with the peaky blinders guide this thread regardless of how accurate she is.

This is an ego issue, and his ego needs popping.
Is he some sort of boxer?
And he punched someone?
Amazing ;-)

Zacs there is a video, it did not look confrontational. Mcgreggor was drunk and the guy was just trying to enjoy his pint in solitude.

Regardless, if you feel that warrants physical assault then that's your opinion certainly not mine.
Question Author
He is specialised and trained in mixed martial arts. He punched an innocent 50 year old in the face because he wouldn't cry of happiness over being offered some McGreggor whiskey. This hurt Connors ego so he punched the man in the face.

Anyone think that's OK?
Question Author
I haven't seen the video, so apologies. I know no verbal response should incite violence but it is quite commonplace, unfortunately.
Question Author
From the looks of the barmaid, she was not expecting it to get violent.

You can see the man turn the glass away, evidently he's not impressed with connor, maybe because of this incident?

Spath I thought Peaky Blinders was in the Midlands ;0)

All I know Bobbi is to act like that you must not have a lot of manhood if you know what i mean
You’re right, people who think the must prove themselves like that are inadequate men Spath, lacking in something
Question Author
Watching the video it just makes me think.. that could have been my dad, my granddad, my brother.. It could have been anyone. Simply because he turned down a shot of whiskey, he got punched?

Awful Awful. Before connor even walks into the bar you can see the chap is just in his own vibe, minding his own business.

This is not OK im not happy with the result. Connor should have been sent to prison or fined much more than 1000 euro. Ban him from professional fighting, ruin career.
I would not for one moment wish to condone the violence here, but in regard to the advised punishment in terms of the perpetrator's bank balance and profession -

the law has to be even handed for it to work for everyone, and this is the downside - an assault carries a mandated sentence which is not conditional on the bank balance or the profession of the criminal involved.

It appears unfair, in fact it is absolutely the opposite, and this is how the law is able to work fairly for everyone.
