How do you know he described it "rightly"? Have you been there? Do you have personal knowledge of Baltimore District A?
I don't believe the President was being racist in his description.

I do believe he deliberately employs provocative language to inflame his opponents, as he has done many times in the past.

It does President Trump him no favours if he wishes to court an image of being a statesman, and someone who is aware of the seniority and importance of his role and position.

But since he is keen to cultivate an image of being a racist, bullying, obnoxious, fight-picking, insulting, rude, sexist, redneck pig, I think he is doing an excellent job.
I'm surprised he has time to comment on domestic matters when Swedish affairs that he's taken a keen interest in are ongoing.
^More accurately the disingenuous are chomping at the bit to promote that image of him on his behalf.
That in response to AH.

Baltimore doesn’t have the best reputation. No ge wasn’t being racist.
tut tut
more race card BS

Are you serious????

No-one can hold a candle to President Trump in terms of promoting his self-image - it's all he does, all day every day!

The notion that others portray him as I have described is fatuous - he does it every time he opens his mouth or reaches for his keyboard - the evidencee is there, updated daily.

If that is your attempt to show him as being described as something he is not, you need to climb over his own relentless efforts to prove that he absolutely is as I have described him first, and clearly proud of it - good luck with that.
AH, yes I’m serious. When it comes to emotively vitriolic and spiteful language Trump doesn’t hold a candle to you.

/// I don't believe the President was being racist in his description. ///

How can a true description of an area of his United States, be classed as racist?

Obviously in your position as AB's self appointed expert on the true meaning of racism, you know absolutely nothing about the word.
Washington DC is rather more of a mess than Baltimore. I wonder if the president of the USA has noticed?
ANDY said Trump wasn't racist yet you disagree with him. Eh?

I apologise Andy for having a go at you, I misread your post, I thought you said Trump was being racist when in fact you said exactly the opposite.

Perhaps there is a job for me as a speechwriter - can I quote you as a character reference when I apply?

/// The operative rule in politics these days seems to be that any criticism of a non-white politician from anywhere to their right is, by definition, a racist attack. Nothing Trump said pertained in any way to Elijah Cummings’ skin color or ethnicity, only to his failure as a legislator and political leader to do anything to improve his district.

No problem, we all mis-read from time to time - your apology is appreciated and accepted in the spirit in which it is offered.

I'd have to agree - if anyone wishes to defend Mr Cummings on this occasion - reference to his ethnicity is not only seriously wide of the mark, it makes him look chippy and thin-skinned, and does the actual cause of attacking racism no favours whatsoever.
Trump is a racist bigot with very low intellegence ! VERY little he says is 'Right' ! Right Wing, yes ! Correct No ! Did you know he always has a team of 'advisors' with him to explain news and other matters to him? They are limited to using the vocabulary that a normal 7 year old would be expected to know !
He often forgets where he is and what / why he is supposed to be there for !
AH at 12.13. Doubt that very much. Count me out.
