So a faulty escalator made a bit of a bang noise and caused a mass stampede took over Disney land pairs, leaving some with 'minor injuries' due to crowd movement.

Can't even have some background industrial noise without people thinking there is a terrorist attack.

So, it seems the terrorists have won. Mass fear is spreading. Brilliant.

"I think a theme park (disney land) is a least likely place for a terrorist attack.", You're absolutely right Spath, similarly an Ariana Grande concert???
I can't believe your arguments on this thread, especially as it's so sunny today, you'd be doing more good gardening.
It doesn't take much to tigger panic.
Spath //Fact is, people thought it was a terrorist attack because of how much media attention has been around them lately//
How do you know what people were thinking, telepathy?

/// Jeez good job they don't live in Belfast they would be in pieces after a day! ///

Isn't that where you live?
If it had happened in the UK someone would be charged with causing a mass disturbance likely to cause harm.

Well perhaps no now, but maybe in 30 years time?

How is an Ariana grande concert a theme park?

If you look at the list of tragic events that has happened at Disney land, you'll notice none of them are terror related. Most are accidents.
Ariana has a massive young fan base.

I mean i kind of get the link for comparing this situation with the Manchester event, but if anything it proves my point. The amount of publicity that got was crazy it was everywhere it started an entire movement. Now people here a bang it's like jhee is it that time all over again? I mean to be fair to ya'll (like umm says) maybe.. Maybe it's better safe than sorry.. But mass hysteria would anger me especially if it was over a non event. I don't like panic, i like to take a quiet moment to think, plan then act. Not follow the stampede and join it. For all anyone knows they're running the wrong way.
What does 'jhee' mean?
Have you been in many potential terrorist situations?
^ probably not as unlike the rest of us Spath is a able to predetermine where is a likely target and where is not..
Question Author
not many. i find terrorism is a lot rarer than the media make it out to be.
Question Author
actually prudie what i'm saying is, i've no idea where the terrorist is, but i know he aint here so i'll stay put till i know else i'll end up potentially running the wrong way. That's my point, not that i have super sense to know where to run.
I'm particularly picking up on your comment that Disneyland Paris is a least likely place for a terrorist attack. Based on where else they have taken place in France I think you are very wrong (and foolhardy).
Question Author
Well if you do an attack at disney land paris, not only does it cost a bomb to get in there, but which ride will you choose to blow up? or which restaurant? It's not a very densely populated location, it's a bit spread out. Unlike a festival, a beach, etc.. etc..

I guess we'll wait and see. When the first terrorist attack happens at Disneyland, then you can say "told you so spath" but until one ever happens, i will consider it unlikely.

Imagine if there was a french football game going on. then someone let of a Tshirt cannon, and everyone got up and tried to rush out because they thought it was an attack? Probably would cause another disaster like we saw at Hillsborough

But i mean.. at least if there was actually an attack people were better safe than sorry and doing the right thing?

^ a kind of vibe i'm getting

There was no attack, people were being dramatic, people got hurt because of that.
Have you ever been to Disneyland Paris?
Question Author
3 times
What about the time you nearly ran over a cyclamine with your mower, spath?
Question Author
That time was a close call.

Another picture i'd like to paint..

If the media, the news etc.. social media kept telling you Britain had been invaded by deadly snakes, if that night you were out for a meal and you felt something touch your ankle, you may thing instantly of a deadly snake. In reality it may have been the back of our trouser leg or maybe you dropped your napkin off of your lap onto the floor.
