Well.. we all know artists aint perfect don't we.. So surely boycotting playing music by one of them because of their actions is a slippery slope. When does it stop? So many criminal rappers and some convicted murders, but there music is OK?

I hate double standards and this is a fat one.

Some music even promotes violence and it's still allowed.

I agree. I have always argued in favour of the concept of seperating the artist from the art. If you start judging artistic output by the behavour of the artist, as you say, where does it stop? Once you have condemned all the abusers, do you turn to the tax frauds, the motorway speeders, the non-charity donors? The best way to avoid such a slippery slope is not to...

Who the hell is Pleasure P and what has he done?

Well, you found one (dubious) example. Well done. But I think you’re a bit out of date on that one:

Question Author
It's not dubious
Question Author
What about 69 rapper

Total waste of atoms.

Then the rest of Americas mumble rap
Well, if it’s not dubious, it’s anachronistic. (But it is dubious).
Question Author
I'd boycott neither but if you're to boycott one you've gotta keep those standards.
Question Author
ZM it's the principle that's the same.
You’ve not read my link, have you.
Question Author
ZM I have.. and it's the same principle. Child molestation froma music artist.
Spath - you're coming up with idiotic comparisons and making yourself look like a twerp.
Question Author
Don't be so rude no i am not.

It's a perfect comparison why boycott one and not another. Double standards alert
Question Author
Ummm that was a twerpy answer.
If all drug users music was boycotted they wouldn't have much to play.

Child abuse is the most heinous of crimes and you're comparing it to people who are on self destruct.
Question Author
Ummmmm my point exactly.

If we boycotted every artist who did a crime / conviction / what not, we'd have no music.
Question Author
"Child abuse is the most heinous of crimes"

Debatable. I mean it's certainly up there no question but the most heinous? Nope.
