I suspect I'm going to be lambasted by some, but this is absurd isn't it?

I can't get on board with all this 'gender fluidity' nonsense, and therefore this story would normally amuse me, but the fact that people are taking this sort of patent ridiculousness seriously suggests to me that people are losing the plot.

Some people are becoming so achingly right-on that they're endorsing rubbish like this - I genuinely find it head-scratching.

If Billy Vunipola decides that at the next women's rugby world cup he's going to 'identify' as a woman for the duration, would he be allowed to play? And if not, why not?

I can try and do that. It's gone from 40 to 1806, to find the %age increase you express the actual increase as a %age of what you started with
ie (1806-40)/40 times 100 which is 4415%

Even if it had only gone from 40 to 80 that would still be a 100% increase

In the same way that I really don’t care how strip mining has affected the local economies of towns in West Virginia. Yes, it’s important, but I cannot sit around worrying about thing that don’t affect me.

With the greatest of respect to Pixie, Caster Semenya's gender is not something you can just assert, based on pictures and unsubstantiated reports, to be other than how she is usually identified. It's offensive to deny someone's identity in that way, in particular in this case when it's ill-informed, bigoted, and at odds with all of her competitors and many official bodies.

On the other hand, complaining about Philip/Pippa's place in this list is understandable, and I can't say I'm inclined to comment on that example further.

You stated this yesterday, pixie, and couldn't provide any evidence that didn't include the discredited Australian report.

Once again, any discussion about Caster Semenya has absolutely nothing to do with whether Philip Bunce should have been placed on a list of women notable women because he occasionally dresses as a woman.
