I couldn't agree more gordie. We have enough of our own problems.
Silly moo. The sooner she's gone the better.
Unfortunately she is being a bit stubborn on that score JD.

// She will also visit Nigeria and Kenya during the three-day trade mission.
Mrs May's trip - which will see her meet the presidents of all three countries - aims to deepen economic and trade ties with growing African economies ahead of Britain leaving the EU in 2019 //

You don't think there will be any long term benefits for the UK then?
No, I dont Baldric.

With some countries yes, but not Africa. Too much corruption and dictatorship..
Two continents down, four to go...

surely may knows x amount gets squandered and pilfered, it's like giving someone a blank cheque, and saying fill in what you think is fair
id stop all aide and spend it here.
// aims to deepen economic and trade ties with growing African economies ahead of Britain leaving the EU in 2019//
The money we will get back in trade deals will far outweigh the aid we will be giving.
-- answer removed --

// so this is all for her own benefit? //

How does that work then spath?
Spath, it works for our benefit.
If push comes to shove, next time I will plump for Corbyn. At least I will know what I'll be getting. May has betrayed her party and the country. This from a dyed-in-the-wool Tory.
:O
I’m azazed you think you’ll know what your getting from Corbyn. Also amazed that you think he’d defend Britain more stoutly than the PM.
Regardless of other concerns.
I know what you mean JD, I too am a man without a Party at present (along with many labour supporters I fear).

"The money we will get back in trade deals will far outweigh the aid we will be giving."

That is always debatable. Even with figures unless you have operated without the bribes in place how do you know how much is down to the bribe and how much would occur naturally?

And speaking of which isn't bribery a jailable offence in this country?
"amazed that you think he’d defend Britain more stoutly than the PM."

I can't see JD said that. He did say we know what we would be getting i.e pretty much a communist state.
Well, that's as may be, but if you happen to know that we're getting a communist state it would seem rather self-defeating to vote for that rather than countenance sending a bit of extra aid to Africa.
It goes deeper than the aid jim.
Well, possibly.
