My head is not in the sand, and I love where I live and whom I mix and live with. Thank you
AOG - // Try taking your head out of the sand, believe me it is a much better world above it. //

For someone who posts exhaustively when he believes that people have been rude to him - your comment to someone who simply disagrees with you is inappropriate.

You should consider your offensive post, and withdraw it with an apology.
I like the language idea, but after three years I wouldn't even allow an interpreter. I would consider that not taking that basic step towards integration was justification for putting them on the first plane back to their native land. I am usually on the liberal side of this argument but the language thing is such a basic thing to ask of those who want to live among you.

/// Is this one of those threads like the ones that Theland posts, where he asks a question, and the tells everyone who answers it where they are going wrong? ///

Please do not compare me with other ABers.

I ask a news question to create a debate, I then read others replies and counter argue their views (if they happen to differ to my own), they then tell me where in 'their opinion I am wrong' and so it goes on.

Isn't that what debating is all about.

You, yourself are always telling people where they are going wrong.
Unbelievable...

Don't you dare lecture me on offensiveness or even rudeness, you, yourself are a past master in such things including name calling.

Before you try and gather a friend by speaking on their behalf perhaps you should look back who first showed rudeness?
Mr Hughes thank you for coming to my defence but its OK I expect his parents never taught him any manners.
Ah, here we go, the usual sneering of the liberal. ^^
//How can a person learn the language if they are made to feel excluded?// well we have second and third generation ethnics who still cannot and will not learn english..whats that 50 60 odd yrs and still will not integrate, and then they bring over wives husbands who in turn will not integrate and learn the language, they do not see us as equal as we are not muslims, so english is irrelevant and the language of the kuffar infidel, but we will take your free health care and benefits while walking round in pyjamas and women ? in tarpaulin...

How dare you criticise my late parents, by your rudeness and attitude it looks as if you have changed you name yet again Islay.
Isn't this constant leaping on every other newish poster and calling them Islay getting rather ridiculous?
Only need to get lucky once. :-)
Lucky?

Still tedious.

I rest my case.
first rude comment
'Don't even bother yourself, I can guess what your guesses would be'

From????
I thought Minkyme was this Islay and then there was another person who was supposdly Islay.
Is she a bit like Spartacus?
There you go the Mamya, rich tapestry and all that. Tres amusant to some and ennui inducing for others.

As your friend and colleague might say, one man's bliss is another man's repetitive creation.
You've heard of the 'Where's Wally' books RR?

It's similar to that, an AB hobby.
ooookay.
FGS...does someone need their nappy changed?
