When I read this I was in disbelief, I just couldn't get that some still believe you can change the way someone is born in this day and age, it's just disgusting and inedible.

Just who are these people? Religious fanatics I suppose make up the bulk but if so how do you stop it as much is done in secret and 'voluntary'.

//However i do think that both changes are possible. Gay - straight and straight - gay at any age in any life.\\

Well Spath that just shows how little you know about the subject.

Studies most certainly do not prove that Spath- show me.
LoL, spath......is that another one of those things that is only true *in your own head*?
Maybe Spath is the only one who has found the On/Off switch?

Spath I only 'tell' people things that are a known and provable fact, people do not become 'un-gay', that's a fact I did not make that up, it just is a thing. It doesn't actually matter to me I'm bi, but my last three relationships have been male ( and ludicrous apparently). My last partner was also bi, he's now with a man, but that doesn't make me straight and him ' suddenly gay' - we're both still bi.
I hope you answer me, Hazi.....if a person is not born gay when and how does that person "become" gay?..

And if a person, in your opinion, isn't born gay is it the same for bi-sexual and straight people? Those of us who are straight or bi-sexual are not born that way?
Spath...I used to wish I had an off switch for you...but no longer......your posts both fascinate me......and make me smile......in a resigned sort of way...... :-)
I see kval has mentioned bi, I was going to suggest that maybe people who 'were gay and are now not gay' are in fact bi ?
The trouble with studies like his earlier one (as Spitzer acknowledges) is that they are based very much in the short-term; "Hell, I used to be gay as a coot but now I've seen the light and been with a woman for 6 whole months and I know that the Lord is happy with me for that".

Try re-interviewing that person 4/5 years hence and see if they are still delirously happy....

Who knows?

You brought Spitzer into the debate, he was wrong.

Glad some attention is being given to this, late though it is.
Spath - you make many claims willy-nilly and then it usually transpires you either misunderstood the question or answered from the standpoint of, "Well, it really ought to be this way....!".

Neither is particularly useful in a proper discussion.
... and this is really harmful Spath because it gives credence to the idea that sexuality can be changed which in turn gives credence to the notion being gay can be cured. People kill themselves over this crap, over the pressure put upon them to alter their natural born sexuality so it's too important to let misleading information stand I'm afraid.
