kaktus, 9 not bad for a Dane? That's absolutely tremendous! I can just imagine how many AB users would score if they sat a test about life in Denmark. I might scrape a mark if they asked about Hans Andersen's house, which I once visited, but that's about it.

As for Father Christmas, he was always said to live at the North Pole - partly because it was so remote, but also I think because it was neutral territory, not specific to any one country. But in recent years some regions have tried to make money by claiming to be his home, and you can take trips to let your kids visit him there. Lapland is one of these - but more than about 10 years ago I don't think anyone in Britain would have thought he had anything to do with Lapland.

I only got 5, and the stupid PG one i got confused and said ti was tea, forgetting that thats actually pgtips. lol

Thank you jno, you are sooo sweet!

Danish kids are told that Father Christmas (julenissen or Julemanden) comes from Greenland, I'm not exactly sure why, but apparently we weren't modest enough to put him somewhere neutral. :0)

i got 8 right!
I got 10 out of the 13 right but more by good luck than knowing the answer for sure!!

Born and Bred in London, and I only got 4!

ooh the shame, taxi for Spaced!

I got 12 right - I'm staying anyway , don't care if I'm not knowledgable enough!
I got 10, some of the questions are a bit irrelevant, but the government are taking a step in the right direction, we need to do something to control who we let in, after all Britain is about the most laxed country in the world for letting people in, you'll notice America and The Antipodes are very fussy about who they allow in, and as a result these countries don't have any of the nonsense about racism and human rights that we seem to subscribe to, basically because they won't allow any of the dross or deadbeats in who are coming for an easy ride with a government which will give them everything on a silver platter.
I got 12 which apparantley means I get to sit in Parliament!
I got 10/14 and I have live here for 17 years, since I was born.

HA!

I got 7/14 right and I'm an American...that's 50/50...

I must have English roots! ;0)

Cheers for explaining that 7/14 = 50/50 HAnn!!! :-p

You know just cos we put an "s" on the end, doesn't mean we don't learn "math" too! :-p

Have a great weekend hun! :-)

I got 9/15. Some really daft ones in there though....
Oh well I got 7 - but haven't lived in England for 34yrs so some things have changed ie length of time before divorce.
Why have some folk had 15 questions I only had 14.
5, I better plss off to iraque

I just tried it and got 9 ... hadn't a clue on most of them so wizzed the cursor around and went for the one it landed on. Did know where Father Christmas comes from though. Only reason people think it's Lapland is cos they can fly there and see him..... Thats only his holiday home people

:0)

Not that it hekps much, but when I went to Lapland at Christmas, Father Chrismas was there with his helpers, and the reindeer.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no reindeer at the North Pole!

i got 8 of 10 but then i did do einy, meany, miny, mo...
