....can our kids go gender free?
What a fantastic programme........I'd recommend any parent of young children to watch this....and expectant parents too, NoM... ;-)
The before and after results are fascinating and such a joy to see the difference it's made to the children....so much so that the head is now introducing the teaching methods tried into all classes.....would that all schools would consider this.....
If you can watch part two on catch-up have a look......it's interesting and a pleasure..... :-)

And those little girls who can now do things they thought they couldn't....what a great start to their education....future scientists!!!
A follow up would be very interesting, Dave.......both to see the children and the parents who took part....x

I've had a another look at the key bits of this - it was quite a lot to take in at a first sitting.
Although a bit dressed up for 'entertainment', it looks to have the legs for some serious research into the effect that (often unconscious) gender conditioning and expectation from parents, schools and society in general has on young children and their life ambitions.
It also had some good ideas on how the negative effects of conditioning on both boys and girls can be reduced and positive reinforcement of equality of aspiration can be given.
A thoroughly good programme that I recommend to everyone.
