TWR..ditto
Only it would be the Royal Navy, He's a Marine.
them wi' spaghetti in the Armed forces sould hang their heids in shame for not supporting him...a silent nod and it would never have got as far as it did

In my 20 yrs Service you looked after your own and didn't grass 'em up
as it should be Semper Fidelis !!
I agree minty. They forget what it's like up the sharp end...if they were ever there!
You're right balders. 'Closed ranks'.
Good news indeed, I wish Sgt Blackman and his family all the very best for the future.
Murraymints It was not a sneaky exit, he was specially released just after midnight so as to be out as early as possible. Normal releases are not until after breakfast or 'porridge' 8am.
A gallant exit ? He was being released from prison fgs !!!
I don't agree with what he did. However there seems to have been a misrepresentation somewhere along the line as his court martial is being investigated.

As ever, not all is as it seems.
good that he is being released, bad that there may be threats from jihadists against his life, this was on the news earlier today,
I hope he can rebuild his life now.
emmie

Perhaps they could apply for legal aid so that they can send him to the Hague on war crimes?
I'm So pleased for him and his family. At last!!

Just seen him being driven away from the Prison on BBC News.
Given the threats to his life that have been made I would not want to be the owner/driver of that Audi Avant that just had it's number plate clearly displayed on screen.
Nice one BBC!
will he be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life i wonder..
Thank goodness sense has prevailed. My best wishes to Sgt Blackman and his family.
^ Ditto to that ...
