Of course he has a point. All this 'pot calling the kettle black' sort of thing is just white noise. You can't ignore what has been said just because you don't like the messenger. Maybe he should just pass a note to someone else and they say it. That way someone might actually sit up and do something about it. Society is losing cohesion ever so slightly all the time...

I don't think with hypocrisy like that, that you can really accuse Putin of having any sort of point at all. If I can be bothered I'll look up the figures for child rape in his country.
Maybe he feels that the extended, welcome, cessation of the slaughter of children in Aleppo makes him a new authority on the subject of child safety.

I suspect 'the Russians' doesn't mean the whole nation, any more than 'the British wanting to leave the EU' refers to all of us :-)

It is easy to point at an issue in another country in order to disparage it, but anyone with sense sees it for what it is. Criticise others in the hope of distracting from one's own shortcomings.
Like one can stop all criminal activity without being a dictatorial tyranny. Let's all have zero tolerance for even the smallest demeanour and Draconian punishments to ensure everybody lives in fear of getting something wrong. Vote Fascist for a Third Glorious Decade of Total Law Enforcement. Be a Government Informer. Betray Your Family & Friends. Fabulous Prizes to be Won. That'll solve all our problems
