So what new has happened today, then? Surely it's already 'old news', isn't it? So why should the story be covered today?

I'm actually dismayed that he resigned as I would regard it as essential that anyone who sits on a committee discussion prostitution actually has extensive knowledge and experience of paying for sexual favours.

Janzman....I am not clear what your beef is about here ? Apart from an anti-BBC rant. The BBC and every other British-based news media fully reported all there was to report about Vaz yesterday. I can see no point in repeating it again today.

As others have already said....its old news and nothing ages quicker than yesterdays news.
