Yeah, he sucks.
hmmmm....he cleaned up the market in vaccuums
Yes, you are right Sandy....Dyson, the man sacked hundreds of his workers in the West Country, and moved production to Malaysia, so he could make even more money.
greedy so 'n' so.. I don't rate them anyway .prefer vax
So he'll know about international trade then ? And whether an EU exit is likely to cause problems ?
I believe he employs quite a lot of people in the UK.
Although, I know what you mean, sandy. In his autobiography, he said his factory workers worked overtime for nothing, went without their wages, etc, to make the company a success. Shortly after I read it, he moved the manufacturing abroad. I suppose that's globalisation for you and there's very little you can do about it.
Sir James seems more than a little confused.
the EU in 2014 accounted for 44.6% of UK exports of goods and services, and 53.2% of UK imports of goods and services.
Exports from the UK to EU and non-EU countries have grown on average by 3.6% and 6.5% respectively in each year between 1999 and 2014.
Although the UK has historically recorded a trade in goods deficit with the EU, its trade in services balance with the EU is much more favourable, running a surplus in each year since 2005, which reached £15.4 billion in 2014.

All the above are from the ONS.
He is a greedy man, just making an excuse for why he wants to make even more money.

He could just as easily have maintained production here, but instead chose to export jobs to Malaysia.
Dont understand business at all do you Mickey?
Dyson is a strange bloke. In 2013 he urged the Government to protect manufacturing to stop engineers taking their skills abroad. This was 10 years after he moved production abroad with the loss of 550 jobs.
Then, zacs, he'd be more aware than, say you, of the pressures etc. that are driving manufacturing abroad.
There's only one real pressure Svejk - shareholder's demands for greater profit.
That's capitalism, zacs, if thee don't like it, lad, thee could always move to N. Korea.
Seriously, I do believe there's an unacceptable face of capitalism. Just not sure that he's guilty.
me and Kim are best buddies :-)
