yeh it's strange, it.s like saying he will be allowed to drive again whjen he's twelve
its ridiculous, i am shocked!

On the local news they are saying that the 9 penalty points he also received get added to his provisional licence as soon as he applies for it.

Maybe that's when the ban takes effect too.

And seeing as points stay on your licence for 5 years, tehy will come off when he is 17

which is a stroke of luck

Maybe his mum and dad will stop his pocket money so he wont be able to save up for driving lessons.  Errrrr...
From what I understand, the points and the ban will come into effect when he has his provisional license and you can't obtain that until just before your 17th birthday and you can't actually start driving until you are 17.

Is that the boy with the BMW? apparently he was given it in a swap by a bloke who wanted his minimoto bike..which if you ask me he shouldn't have had either (certainly shouldn't have been allowed out in the street with it).
