//told the Daily Politics he was not referring to leader Nigel Farage, those "directly involved" with him, or the party members.//

Who was he referring to then?
Not yet read the link but I'd suspect he'd have expected finding decent folk concerned with our being in the EU and related issues.

You will have to ask him Naomi, but this isn't the first time he has spoken up about his experience with UKIP.

To answer OG....if he is concerned about the continuing membership of the EU, and wants to come out, then perhaps he should think of supporting a Party that is able to do something about it, not a fringe concern, with only one MP, and a Leader that cannot get elected to Westminster himself, no matter how hard he tries....and how he has tried over the years !
No, Mikey, hang on a minute. By his own admission the 'abuse' didn't come from Nigel Farage or from those directly involved with him, or the party members. He's produced no evidence of the charge he's making - and neither have you.

Shooting the messenger again Naomi !
Where have a shot the messenger? You chose to 'put the boot in', as 'they' say. I'm simply asking you to justify that. That's fair enough.
*I* shot
Since no other large party has any desire to come out, he should give up and support no one ? Better to join one who does want something done in the hope that it'll punch above it's weight and worry the rest into actually taking EU withdrawal seriously.
Such an inconsequential party that seems to consume you night and day. :D
Mikey, that's not evidence of what this man is saying - that's an opinion cobbled together by a reporter scraping the barrel. I think Ukip scares you.
After 2020 they'll probably be the opposition, Naomi, as Labour continue their glorious fall into oblivion.
Non story about a guy who has previous for using the race card when he fails to achieve his 'dreams' and used by the media to stir-up and enrage gullible bloggers to post their hysteria on active forums.
Big deal.

I am sure there are plenty of old Labour members who are racist (I know, I have heard them) and there are definitely more than 4 or 5 Tories who are. If this man wants to make it in politics, he needs to wise up. There are people (inc
Uding voters) who will not like him because of the colour of his skin. By resigning, he guarantees the racists win.

"Such an inconsequential party that seems to consume you night and day. :D2"

umm, which one do you mean...UKIP or the Lie and Bore circus !?....
/// The only surprise is the time it took him to realise Nigel Farage’s party is racist, their denials notwithstanding. ///

Matt Dathan's of the Independent opinion and not that of
Winston McKenzie.

Seems like you have failed miserably on this one Mikey.

Not at all AOG !

McKenzie himself has quite plainly said, in my link, that there were racists in UKIP and that is why he left. My only surprise is that it took him so long to realise his mistake in joining in the first place.

Of course, McKenzie doesn't seem to know his own mind, politically at least, as he has joined every main party over he years :::

"Winston Truman McKenzie (born 23 October 1953) is a British perennial candidate for office and former boxer, notable for having joined every major political party and having stood as an Independent or minor party candidate on numerous occasions without success"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winston_McKenzie

I suppose he thought it was a good idea to try UKIP this time !

I wonder what it will be next time...Plaid Cymru perhaps ?
Not sure we can take his word for anything. Not entirely consistent, is he?
