I wonder how many of these people will feel the same in 12 Months time, when in the towns they live in, will have problems getting a doctors appointment, getting there children into their local schools, less jobs available, and no room at hospitals?

Don't think they need a welcome refugees rally. Perhaps these helpful people could skip along to Calais and welcome them there into their homes.
I've just been watching the RT channel - don't know who they are but they have been reporting rises in the far right particularly in Germany and France
Very worrying if it's accurate
People can be pushed too far, Ric.ror, and I think the reason for the rise of the far-right is that this has happened. There were whole communes in France near us who voted 100% (yes, honestly) for the NF and many of their poliicies are really nasty. I hate to think how many would now vote 100%.

/// But 73% are males so who are protecting their
families ///

Most of those are single young males who are escaping from their country so as not to be called up to fight to protect both their country and their families.

We have a word for them here in the West 'Cowards'.
AOG 12.17. Syrians pay thousands to cross Med in dingies as its illegal for them to travel another way. Turkey & most EU countries heavily fine anyone allowing transportation of Syrians. Rail & bus travel is allocated by receipt of correct papers, that they queue days for. They cannot enter b&b/hotels as owners would be fined.

Similar to our own truckers at Calais.
How do you fight barrel bombs & mustard gas with NO weapons?
you join the Syrian army. Unless, of course, your sympathies are with IS.
Assad (dictator) leads the Syrian army who have demolished & bombed their own people.

Can't we arm them - we seem to be arming everyone else
I'm struggling to find a dentist at the moment, there was a time when you could move house and register in your new town, not any more. I wonder how many of those rally fanatics are willing to take a couple of refugee families for as long as it takes, paying for their upkeep etc. and then blame the government for not having money to pay for their hospital facilities, housing for their own families etc. Germany have learned their lesson already.
Just for info - passing through Luxembourg for a coupla days - big statement in the paper from the chief honcho and the director of Medecin san frontieres saying these people need more help not less.
Luxembourg is very capitalism-driven society and yet they have made ready 3-4 sites to receive migrants
A point made here - the 'native' population is ageing and declining. If a workforce is desired for the future, it must come from outside.
On a personal level - if many of these incomers are highly qualified, then badabing, problem solved.
Lol. Just for info, that bull-*** was 'sold' to the gullible in this country for 13 years. It is now totally discredited.
I love reading these threads. I think they are very revealing and entertaining in lots of way.
I am bemused though by the constant cry of "how many refugees would they be prepared to take in then!" that seems to litter this type of question.
To those who ask this question, as you are usually the same people defending the realm and all her inhabitants, how many of our own needy, poor and homeless people have you taken in lately, and how much did their education cost you?
I expect most of them pay tax, some of which goes to help the poor and needy. They probably think we are self sufficient in our own poor and needy and can't see the need to import more of them.
Hope I amused you.
You always amuse me Svejk.
I pay taxes and I don't mind paying for refugees.
Good for you. How many of our own needy, poor and homeless people have you taken in lately, and how much did their education cost you?
None, but I'm not the one objecting.
I've paid income tax all my life, latterly on a high level, and shudder to think how much in total this represents. This has been used by government to do all sorts of things including provide totally free state education, healthcare and social services - this is the state equivalent to 'taking in poor and homeless people'.
If one were to personalize all functions in Svejk's manner, then we should also be berating each other for not adopting extra children, not looking after additional elderly people and not sweeping streets and disposing of refuse.
For the last few weeks now comments about this Serious Crisis & what does Kob head do, welcome more into a Country that's in a serious Crisis with Cut Backs, the Job situation, Overcrowded Schools, NHS, Housing, Benefit cuts, I wonder if the UK Stated, as soon as young men arrive here you have to joining the army for a couple of years? you are allowed no benefits, no houses, nothing, how is it everyone can foresee a massive problem & D.C Can not Is that a worthy PM? when I was in Employment within the NHS, If I did not do, listen, take advice from my team I would be out, so what does this Idiot do? "Welcome" for you that voted for "We Are All Init Together" pay the price & stop complaining, it was your X that's causing this problem, put with it, but this is Only The Start.
Most of the bleeding heart brigade are incapable of thinking that far ahead.
