When it just flashed up on a Sky News alert on my phone I certainly was surprised because I'd never heard of it!
Not surprised, no. Clackmannanshire is viewed as fairly representative of the whole of Scotland and the result is pretty much in line with the latest YouGov poll. Still early days yet though. Only accounts for about 1% of the vote.
Also had an alert about possible electoral fraud in Glasgow, some ballot papers removed apparently.
^Ten accusations of 'personation' apparently, where a genuine voter has turned up at the polling station to find someone else has illegally already voted in his place.
Irish practises there. ^ Vote early, vote often.

Orkneys: 67% No 33% Yes.
That would be Orkney, v-e - no plural and certainly no definite article required, as with Shetland.

^I think that's a more significant result v_e. I would have expected a 'yes' victory there.
They are saying that Barra and South Uist voted 74% Yes, but Benbecula, North Uist, Harris and Lewis all voted overwhelmingly No.
Inverclyde votes No by about 80 votes.
Question Author
Yup, 49.9 v 50.1
Question Author
Why the difference do you think between Barra and South Uist and the others, Jeffa?
I have no idea.
