Recently in the news it was stated that our reservoirs are now full & water is overflowing into rivers & exacerbating the flooding situation in already flooded areas. Does any ABer remember that during the last war portable water containers were erected on street corners throughout the UK to hold water for firefighting ? Would this not be a good idea now as extra reservoirs to hold surplus water which would be held until the inevitable water shortage which will no doubt come upon us completely by surprise when this awful weather hopefully gets back to normal.

We should all collect water for any non-household use so that we can still water plants in the summer instead of using tap water from the mains.
That way we wouldnt need the extra resevoirs & no hoespipe ban required.
