After the successes with Samantha Brick and Katie Hopkins, the Mail gives more space to deluded shallow people to spout nonsense about themselves, and wind up the readership.

Best advice - ignore it! Media URL: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2544144/Does-husband-secretly-think-hes-better-looking-We-asked-three-couples-rate-partners-looks-Some-replies-make-steam-come-ears.html

I thought you might mean "bait"

But I just Googled "bate", and it's a substance made from animal dung.

So yes, I agree with you, andy.
Is ed balls in it today then.
Seriously. Who are you trying to draw our attention to?
Maybe you put the link in the wrong box, andy. Wasit a youtube clip?

Thanks factor - that is the link I was trying to put into my OP.

And yes, it is 'bait' - I haven't had my second cup of tea yet!
Vacuous carp!
They are good aren't they?

Maybe we should try writing headlines like that for our questions?

Steve - heck, I didn't think of that!
But lots of readers lap it up and believe it that's why the Mail keeps pouring it out. I mean, the bald yacht guy just cannot be serious!
I don't see many mail believers? on this thread. A lot of people that hate it but would appear to, avidly, scour it every day for offending articles, lol.
Take a chill-pill and don't read the Mail if it winds you up. ;)

Svejk - a fair point, but for some people, being wound up is all part of the pleasure of reading a newspaper.
Question Author
Prudie - he was the one that really made me smile - the notion that because he is surrounded by attractive women, he has his pick of them.

His wife put it into perspective though!
He's a deluded fool....
Question Author
I'm impressed - not only are these men (last one excepted) deeply deluded, but they seem to imagine that the rest of the world is interested in their opinion of themselves.

Personally, I have film star looks ............

....... shame it's Woody Allen!!

bet you tried the old dried out banana skin when you were younger -)
I have no idea who Samantha Brick or Katie Hopkins are...is it important enough for me to take the trouble to Google them ?
Question Author
No mikey - allow me to save you the time - they are two rather attention-seeking ladies who use the platforms of media and television to put forward views so preposterous that the best response is to laugh and move on, but the standard response is hate mail and constant battering in social media - hence the expression 'hate bait'.

Samantha Brick is a former television programmer maker who reckons her beauty means that waiters constantly offer to pay for her meals in restaurants.

Katie Hopkins was featured on the TV series The Apprentice, and opines that she wouldn;t let her children play with chilren whose names she considers 'common'.

I'm sure you get the idea.
