Watching Hollyoaks the other night and see that they have replaced the actress that plays Holly.

In the programme, she (new actress) walks up to her mother who says to her "Have you done something different with your hair?".

One of the many reasons why I love the 'Oaks.

i remember when they changed the blonde daughter in roseanne, and then some years later the original one came back.
The mum said to her "where have you been, you've been out a long time"
I don't watch the soaps, but I do recall the third 'Tracy Barlow' who is the current encumbant, arriving.

Her prededessor was all plump features and slow speech, and then Kate Ford arrived, cheekbones and attitude to burnn.

The best was 'Nick Tidlsley' was originally 'Nicky' and a wan-faced youth with the charimsa of a door knob. He was replaced by a pop-star pin-up type who went off to be a Tory Party poster boy, while 'Nick' grew a large pair of ears and started to lose his hair.

It's tough being a soap character!

I actually prefer it when the soap characters make some sort of reference to the change of face.

Funny how you quickly get used to a new actor playing an old character.
