I was heading for my train in York today....looking forward to a knitting trip home when something happened....god knows what but I came to wrapped in tin foil and a man was slapping my face saying...C'mon luv...ambulance is on the way.

And it was....three hours in York A&E but....the rail staff looked after all my belongings and I don't travel light.....they were waiting for me to return.... settled me on the train....gave me a new ticket and told the guards and catering staff to look after me which they did. Hot meal, tea and cake and wine.

They arranged for someone to meet me at Peterborough and carry my bags and checked on me all through the journey.

Now when we complain so much about our rail services don't you think this was really good?

If the chap who brought me round was a bit younger I would have kissed him...he was so sweet....☺

Well god bless the stragers who came to your aid - I have been helped that way in the past.

There aremore good people than we give credit for. Hope you feel ok now, are you going to see doctor for a check up ??

I had had two days to recover from my meeting with MrsO, Shoota so I wasn't exhausted....I'd been birding in between.... ;-)

Anne, the very young child doctor asked how old I was and suggested I was excited or overcome at travelling alone....he's in recovery.
Other than that...no answer....☺
Booze then.

G, you should have put him in the recovery position, cheeky wee devil :)
Ah well Dave and mrs_o are ok then! You take care shouldn't be allowed out xxx

Well it is now, Shoota...though I do leave the mornings for a bit of sobriety........x

I am fine thank you all...felt fine before....a bit of panic when I thought of my bags but Peter had gathered them all up and took care of them. He was more excited than anything I think....perhaps it had been a dull shift up until then...☺
oh its peter now ? LOL
Did you spot any chit-chats or wheatchaffers or stuff?
Question Author
Yes...Peter....five nine....touch of grey at the temples...phone number..
078....whoops!..... ;-)
just a thought,,,,,,,,,,,did you meet peter prior to your incident ?
Question Author
All the usual suspects, Shoota...plus a Great Egret and an unusual Cormorant which I haven't seen before but will research...blinking cold though...
Question Author
I don't think so, Anne...I have a blank of about fifteen minutes between seeing my train and ending up looking like a turkey.....men don't usually make me pass out.....well not without jolly good reason....☺
all joking aside G, maybe a quick check up at gp.
Question Author
I will, Anne....waiting for some test results so will combine both....thank you.....x
